This code is formulated with a view to standardizing the scope, methods, and criteria, and unifying the technical requirements for the design of fish lifts for hydropower projects.
This code is applicable to the design of fish lifts for hydropower projects.
The design of fish lift for a hydropower project shall take into account the topographical, geological, and hydrological conditions of the project, and the biological features of the migration fish, be coordinated with the general layout of the hydropower complex, and follow the principles of safety, reliability, technical feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and ease of management.
Novel technologies, novel processes, novel materials, and novel equipment shall be actively adopted in the design of fish lifts for hydropower projects.
In addition to this code, the design of fish lifts for hydropower projects shall comply with other current relevant standards of China.
